OXNARD, Calif. – Jon Mack, whose illustrious résumé includes seven Southern Section championships, will become the next head coach of the Oxnard High football team pending approval by the school board Wednesday.
Mack is the choice of Oxnard High administrators to succeed Mark Beckham, who resigned earlier last December due to health concerns. The selection will become official if the Oxnard Union High School District’s board of education grants its assent at its next meeting Wednesday.
Mack was the Director of Development and Dean of Discipline at Santa Clara High since the summer of 2013. Before that, he made a splash as the head football coach for three programs.
